My Playlist: Whitehorse on their personal tastes, from Liz Phair to Howlin’ Wolf

By
Carole Warren

On this edition of My Playlist we features not one, but two fabulous musicians: Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland, from the band Whitehorse. They take turns introducing ten of their favourite tracks and sometimes they even finish one another's sentences.

Before joining musical forces in 2010, Doucet and McClelland were acclaimed solo artists. Doucet was a play-anything guitarist and McClelland had one of the best voices in the country. They are both strong songwriters and between them, they’d stacked up ten solo albums in less than ten years. They also worked with everyone from Sarah McLachlan and Blue Rodeo to Matthew Good and Bryan Adams.

Their latest album continues the evolution of the Whitehorse sound. It’s called Leave No Bridge Unburned.
