Hear A Tribe Called Red's infectious collaboration with Tanya Tagaq

By
Del Cowie

A Tribe Called Red are set to release their new album We Are the Halluci Nation next month on Sept. 16 and a new track featuring Polaris Music Prize winner Tanya Tagaq is the latest song to surface from the release.

The track, entitled "Sila," featuring Tagaq's throat singing meshed with A Tribe Called Red's propulsive beats is immediately compelling and follows the release of tracks "Stadium Pow Wow"  and "R.E.D." featuring Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def). Both of those latter tracks feature Manawan drum group Black Bear.

We Are the Halluci Nation is also slated to feature appearances from Saul Williams, Shad and late poet John Trudell.
