The Canadian Country Music Association awards take place tonight in London, Ont. and heading into the big event, Dean Brody and Brett Kissel lead the way with five nominations each.
On Saturday night's gala event, a number of awards were given out ahead of the CCMA Awards show and Brody has already taken home the prize in two of his nominated categories, songwriter of the year and top selling Canadian single of the year, both for his single, "Bring Down the House." Kissel won the award for interactive artist of the year.
Up-and-comer Eric Ethridge beat out five other new artists for the CCMA discovery award. Read about him in our profile here, and check out photos from this year's discovery showcase here.
