The Weeknd announces new album, Starboy

By

Yesterday, Toronto R&B star the Weeknd deleted all the photos on his Instagram account leading many to believe a big announcement was on its way. Today, the artist revealed the big news, which was the album art and title of his new album. The follow-up to last year's breakout hit Beauty Behind the Madness is called Starboy and the cover shows Abel Tesfaye sitting down with his hands on his head.

While Tesfaye has changed all his social media to the name Starboy, no further details have been announced. Last month, reports surfaced that Tesfaye was potentially working with electronic duo Daft Punk on new music — perhaps the result of that shared studio time will find its way onto the album.

So far this year, the Weeknd hasn't released any new music of his own but he has been featured on a number of singles including Future's "Low Life," Travis Scott's "Wonderful" and Canadian artist Belly's "Might Not."
