It only takes one listen to figure out that 22-year-old Tor Miller is one emotional cat. It's difficult to experience the man in any way without feeling... something. His debut record, American English, is teeming with big vocals, big arrangements, bold lyrics. American English manages to run a gamut of emotions, sliding from the big bold pop of "Surrender" to the city-street moodiness of "Midnight," all the way to the solo piano sound of "Baby Blue," without sounding unstable. Every track fits. Perfectly. But you might need a moment to catch your breath at the end.
American English will be released Sept. 30. Listen to the album in advance by clicking on the player below. You can preorder the album here.
