Toronto synth-pop trio Diana break on to the chart this week at #30 with easy-grooving "What You Get." It's off of their latest album Familiar Touch, which was released last November. When doing press about the album, they made reference to Sade as an influence, and you can you hear it on this song.
Vancouver's the Tourist Company has the highest debut on our chart this week with the title track from their latest album, Apollo. They describe the songs on album as "the defining moment in our series of releases that describes life through the metaphor of mankind’s escape to the moon."
Other debuts this week include "Sweet Pretender" from Dany Laj & the Looks and "City Limits" from Heat. Whitehorse climbs up to #9 with their psychedelic-tinged single "Boys Like You." Arcade Fire stays at #1 for the second week in a row with "I Give You Power."
