This week’s episode of The Strombo Show featured Hamilton Leithauser covering Leonard Cohen, an intimate conversation with Montreal’s Beyries and more performances from the Franklin Electric, Heartstreets, Lisa LeBlanc and Vanessa Carlton.

Hamilton Leithauser of the Walkmen, Hamilton and Rostam slings his guitar to perform intimate renditions of songs from I Had a Dream That You Were Mine, a Leonard Cohen cover, plus stories of barbecues with the family of Notorious B.I.G., teaching politics to his daughter, the competitive nature of New York City in the early millennium and attending his first concert at a chili cookoff with members of Bad Brains and Minor Threat.

Montreal singer Beyries shares her story of her obsession with her grandmother's piano and overcoming life-altering moments. She also performs several songs off of her debut album, Landing. The Franklin Electric goes acoustic to celebrate its sophomore release, Blue Ceilings, and reveals its rendition of a Gordon Lightfoot classic.
