Born out of what was supposed to be a one-off performance at the 2016 Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal, the collaboration between Jean-Michel Blais and CFCF (a.k.a. Mike Silver) has now become a going concern.

Blais, a neo-classical pianist whose 2016 album, Il, was released to rave reviews, and CFCF, a genre-defying, Grammy Award-nominated electronic producer, came together to create Cascades, an EP that brings exciting new life to older material, plus a reworked John Cage piece called "In a Landscape" and one brand new song, "Hypocrite."

Blais and CFCF came together again for a special First Play Live performance of the material from Cascades in CBC Music's Studio 211. Check out the live performances, below.
