When violinist Karen Gomyo was in Vancouver last fall playing Alban Berg's Violin Concerto with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra — Vancouver Sun reviewer David Gordon Duke called Gomyo’s "technically assured and emotionally generous" — we invited her to our studio to play a "party piece" of her choice.
Gomyo, who spent her childhood in Montreal before going to the Juilliard School in New York City, chose the third movement from J.S. Bach's Partita No. 3 in E Major for Solo Violin, BWV 1006.
