It's been!

Are there any two words, when strung together, that have become more iconic in Canadian music than the opening, gutteral call belonging to Steven Page on Barenaked Ladies' "One Week?"

The answer, of course, is no. As Chad Kroeger of Nickelback says, "it’s classic. The second you hear Steven Page’s voice you know it’s him immediately." But the hit song, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was famously used in the American Pie movie, is not without its detractors. In fact, for two years now we've been playing "One Week" in our Jam or Not a Jam segments, and the reactions have been either unfettered joy or, well, not.

It began when we played the song for Yukon Blonde, whose reaction was so priceless that we had to play it for more people, casually sneaking it into our Jam or Not a Jam playlists. The album that the song appears on, Stunt, turned 19 this week, so we thought it appropriate to put together a supercut of all the various reactions from the likes of Serena Ryder, Ruth B., Nickelback and so many more.
