A lot happens during an awards weekend, and one of the best things is being able to hear musicians talk about their work, their awards and maybe tell some stories from past awards that were supposed to be a secret.
We’ve collected the best things we heard all weekend below — and if you have anything to add, please do let us know via @CBCMusic on Twitter.
“I don’t know how to play for sober people.” — Meghan Patrick performing at Fan Village
“I’ve got a rule now: I don’t play guitars that are younger than me.” — Murray McLauchlan at the Legends show, playing on a 1934 Gibson

“The word retirement is for people who don’t like what they do. And how can I not like what I’m doing out there? ... They’ll have to drag me off the stage when I’m old and decrepit.” — Terri Clark in the media room
“Music was my escape; it took me away from my problems.” — Shania on her own childhood
“If Keith Urban’s not busy, just saying. If Nicole Kidman doesn’t mind. He is the pass at my house, by the way.” — Michelle Wright on a dream collaboration (and maybe more)
