Alessia Cara got her start posting covers of songs on YouTube, so it's no surprise that the Canadian pop star still likes to take on another artist's song now and then. This week, she covered a fellow Canadian singer, Nelly Furtado, for Spotify's Singles series.
Taking on Furtado's breakout hit, "I'm Like a Bird," Cara kept things simple. Accompanied by a stripped-down acoustic arrangement, Cara's performance otherwise stays faithful to the original. Listen to the cover below, and scroll down to hear Furtado's version.
This past weekend, Cara made a special appearance at Coachella to perform her 2017 hit "Stay" with Zedd. Outside of that, she is staying busy on the road opening for Shawn Mendes' U.S. tour.
