The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) announced today that 2018 CCMA Hall of Fame inductee Terri Clark and award-winning country star Dallas Smith have been added as performers at the 2018 CCMA Awards. Yodelling sensation Mason Ramsey will also make an appearance.
These new additions will join previously announced performers Keith Urban, Lindsay Ell and High Valley as a part of the awards broadcast live from FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton on Sunday, Sept. 9.
Both Clark and Smith, whose new hit “One Drink Ago” is sitting high on the Canadian country charts, are no strangers to the CCMAs stage — while 11-year-old viral success and “Famous” singer Ramsey will make his first-ever Canadian television appearance during the September broadcast.
Five-time Grammy winner and 24-time CCMA Award winner Shania Twain will host the awards show, and will also accept the second-ever Generation Award, which is given to an artist who has had significant impact on the country music industry and awareness of country music around the world.
To watch the 2018 CCMAs on Sept. 9, tune in to cbcmusic.ca/ccmas or CBC-TV, where the awards will be broadcast across Canada at 8 p.m.
