July Talk is one of the best live acts in Canada right now, which was proved as soon as the band set foot onstage as headliners of this year's CBC Music Festival.
The Toronto band, fronted by singers Leah Fay and Peter Dreimanis, brought their energetic set to a packed hometown crowd, tearing through hits like "Summer Dress," "Beck + Call" and "Guns + Ammunition," the last one of which found Fay jumping into the crowd for a sing-along. The band also brought a message of love to the audience, projecting their manifesto of inclusivity and safety onto the festival's big screens as they walked onstage. With good tunes and important messages to spread, July Talk was the perfect act to rock our main stage this year.
